As long as I remember, I’ve been a reader.
Fiction was an escape from my chaotic childhood, to worlds full of wonder and adventures. So many books have been there for me, every step of the way to the person I am now. Loyal companions, dear friends…
That’s why I didn’t hesitate when Rita from the Diepenbeek Public Library asked me what my dream exhibition was: painting authors. A lot of them.
And that’s what I did. I painted the portraits of 50 authors that have meant a lot to me at a certain point in my life. I hope you’ll enjoy looking at them as much as I did painting them.
