Wonderfully abundant

The word I chose for myself for this year is ‘abundance’. And by that I don’t necessarily mean that I want a lot of material things. It’s more the feeling of abundance that I want to focus on.

By choosing this word I want to remind myself not to forget what life is giving me, because there’s plenty of aspects that I already have plenty of: friendship, creativity, opportunities, security, connection, home, support. I’m a pretty lucky girl...

And if 2024 happens to offer me a little abundance in a couple of other areas like inspiration, sales, health and joy, then who am I to say no to that, right? I’m just saying I’ll be on the lookout, because you never know.

If I have learned one thing since being a business owner, it’s that waiting patiently for good things to come my way, does not work. Plus, I’m not a very patient person. So I have some great plans for this year, among which:

• a brand new collection of paintings

• I’ll be participating in Artist Meeting Knokke again

• there will be a solo exhibition/fundraiser

• I’m going international (woohoo!), at the Art3f fair in Luxemburg

• my collaboration with Caroline Jespers Art Gallery will continue (yay!)

What I mean is, I’m making it happen, and that feels just wonderfully abundant.
