This is me

When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown 'em out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
Look out 'cause here I come
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me

(From: This is me by Keala Settle)

There’s a lot to say about the internet, but I can’t imagine living without all the information, connections and learning opportunities we’ve got.

One of my favorite nuggets of wisdom on the www is this video

Keala Settle is expected to sing This is me, the musical The Greatest Showman’s anthem, but she’s too scared to leave the safety of her music stand.
This is me is a powerful song about leaving behind self-doubt and the opinion of others. It celebrates standing strong, no matter your limitations, scars or past. So the song can’t work without Keala conveying just that...

I’ve watched this clip about 300 times, and it keeps moving me to tears. Looking at the number of views, I’m not the only fan. It’s raw, it’s honest, it’s humanity in it’s purest form.

Just watch the video, it’s 4 minutes of magic.
